BIOGRAPHY

Mitch was born and raised in Louisiana and has been playing guitar since the age of 9. Although guitar is his main instrument, he also plays mandolin, fiddle, banjo, bass and dobro. He has traveled throughout the United States and as far as Austria, Japan and China playing and singing. His talents have won him numerous competitions including the National Flat Picking Championship and the Mandolin Championship in Winfield, KS in the same year.

 

He has been fortunate enough to tour and play with some of the biggest talents in the world including Suzy BoggussCharlie DanielsJohn PrineThe Special ConsensusMichael TomlinsonByron BerlineJethro BurnsDavid Bromberg and recently played banjo on “Ramalama” the first track released on Jon Anderson’s newest album ‘1000 Hands’.

 

Mitch has also played all over the Florida circuit which has included Disney Springs, The Plaza Live, The King Center for the Performing Arts, The Capitol Theatre, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Universal Studios, Sea World, Church Street Station, Fort Wilderness, Tupperware Auditorium, Orange County Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and many others.

 

He is currently working on several original songs on guitar, mandolin and banjo. He is looking forward to recording and collaborating original music to be presented on Facebook, YouTube and here on this website. Mitch has so many musical influences but the top of list are Byron Berline, David Bromberg, John Prine and Doc Watson,

 

Mitch is a true family man with two grown children and a wife of 27 years. He is proud to have followed in his father’s footsteps as a luthier, having built over 20 acoustic guitars and plans on building mandolins and violins too! He also enjoys practicing everyday and spending time with his family and friends.
